Underwhelming. This should have been a much better film based on the premise...instead it seems like just another mediocre horror movie trying to cash in on "Lovecraftian" themes without really paying off.

Just watch /Annihilation/ again rather than this mediocrity.

Eric Kohn of IndieWire must have a pretty low bar for "pure unbridled creepiness" because it seems to include watching ants crawl on a twig with a main character in the background, or seeing a German shepherd wandering in the woods by itself.
